Applying for Financial Aid

Applying for Financial Aid

Who Should Apply?

Any student interested in being considered for loans, grants, scholarships, or work-study. Only United States citizens or permanent residents are eligible to apply for financial aid.

How Should You Apply?

Begin by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for federal and state aid consideration. Students interested in outside scholarships should be aware of possible separate scholarship applications.

When Should You Apply?

The FAFSA application is available for completion October 1st of the previous year.  First-year students should submit the FAFSA by February 15 of the year they plan to enroll. Returning students and transfer students should submit by April 15 of the year they plan to enroll. Submitting the FAFSA on time ensures that students receive maximum consideration for all aid sources.
