There are a variety of options for students who want to participate in internship opportunities. Every student is strongly encouraged to complete an internship while here at Penn State New Kensington or at some point within their time at Penn State. Students can choose to complete an internship at any time during their degree. For some, an internship will be required as part of required academic coursework and the semester may be assigned within the program’s recommended academic plan. For programs where an internship is not required, the experience is still an important part of preparation for employment. Students can complete an internship on their own for experience only.
Career Services compiles annual data on the locations where Penn State New Kensington students complete their internships as well as postings from companies that are interested in hosting students for internships. Access to current internship postings is available on the PSNK Work Bench.
