The Office of Student Affairs sponsors a half day workshop session for adult learners and other students transferring to Penn State. This is your best opportunity to meet faculty and currently enrolled adult students to discuss important issues, such as academic success, child care, learning to study, how to juggle responsibilities, etc.
A brief tour of the campus is a part of the program, so bring your class schedule to familiarize yourself with the classroom buildings. Newly-registered part-time and full-time students are urged strongly to attend. Everyone is welcome.
Prior to attending New Student Orientation, all incoming students should meet with their academic advisor to schedule courses.
For more information contact firstname.lastname@example.org or 724-334-6062.
All new students (regardless of age) are expected to complete Penn State AWARE (a sexual assault awareness learning module), and students who are 21 and under must complete Penn State SAFE (Student Alcohol Feedback and Education). Following orientation, please check your Penn State WebMail account for information and updates about accessing and completing Penn State SAFE and Penn State AWARE.
You may log in and complete the Penn State SAFE and Penn State AWARE programs once you receive the invitation via email. Information and log on for the SAFE and AWARE learning resources can be found at http://edge.psu.edu/firstyear/.
