Fall Non-Credit Computer Classes

Basic Excel

September 20 and 27

After completion of this course, the student will be able to create and format spreadsheets, enter data, sort data, print and save files, as well as become familiar with numerous Excel functions.

 

Intermediate Excel

October 4 and 18

$140.00 includes materials

In this course, the student will build upon the concepts of Basic Excel: learn to protect data, name cells and ranges, use filtering techniques, use “If Statements,” use conditional formatting, use templates, use the macro recorder, track changes and work with multi-sheet workbooks.

 

Advanced Excel

October 25 and November 1

$140.00 includes materials

A student attending this class will review Intermediate EXCEL: learn to work with advanced filters, Date/Time functions, auditing, goal seek, pivot tables, VLOOKUP and INDEX functions, basic statistical analysis using the Analysis Toolpack and dialog box controls.

 

Visual Basic for Application

November 8, 15, 29 and December 6, 13, 20

$260.00 includes materials

This course introduces macro programming using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) to automate and customize operations in Word, Excel, and Access. The instructor will introduce both object-oriented and event-driven programming techniques. The Visual Basic editor will be used to create user interfaces, write VBA code, execute and debug programs. Content includes good programming practices, object naming conventions, flow charting, writing VBA code procedures, procedural scope, dimensioning variables, dialog boxes, looping, decision-making with “If Functions,” running macros automatically, recording a macro and understanding the necessity to document program code.

 

All classes are held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in Conference Center, Room: B14
