Penn State New Kensington Chancellor Kevin Snider previewed the new Entrepreneurial Center Feb. 10 at a meeting of local business leaders and city and county officials in the new Knead Community Café in downtown New Kensington.
This spring Penn State awarded almost 14,000 diplomas to students University-wide who are completing associate, baccalaureate, master’s, law, doctoral and medical degrees, bringing the University’s number of graduates to an estimated total of more than 800,000. Many of the University's graduates received their degrees at campuses other than University Park. Penn State New Kensington honored the achievements of four campus alumni on June 16 in the campus’ Forum Theatre. Barbara Arnold, Gregory Garth, Raymond Mastre and Lisa Veitch comprised the inaugural class of distinguished alumni who received recognition from Chancellor Kevin Snider. The Distinguished Alumni Awards ceremony acknowledged the four former campus students’ contributions to their professions and their communities.
