Utilizing a complex fusion of color and motion, abstract artist Thomas Bigatel brings his unorthodox style to Penn State New Kensington's art gallery from April 3 to 28. An opening reception is slated for April 7. The exhibit and reception are free to the public.
Artwork by members of the East Suburban Artists League (ESAL) will be on display Dec. 1 to 29 in the art gallery at Penn State New Kensington. The annual multimedia show features more than 80 paintings, drawings, photographs, sculptures, intarsia, quilts and paper crafts, many of which are for sale at prices ranging from $50 to $1,200.
An exhibit of paintings by artist Charles "Bud" Gibbons, professor emeritus of visual arts at Penn State New Kensington, is set to run from Nov. 1 to 26, in the Art Gallery on the Upper Burrell campus. The exhibit is free to the public.
From an ironworker assembling a structure drawn by an engineer, to an artist drawing a structure assembled by an ironworker, Vince Ornato paints images chronicling and celebrating Pittsburgh’s industrial past. Ornato’s oil paintings will be on exhibit Sept. 3-30 in the Penn State New Kensington Art Gallery. A reception for the artist will take place from 5-8 p.m. Sept. 15 in the gallery.
