Abstract artist Thomas Bigatel featured in New Kensington gallery

Utilizing a complex fusion of color and motion, abstract artist Thomas Bigatel brings his unorthodox style to Penn State New Kensington until May 15, in the art gallery. The exhibit is free to the public. Bigatel’s one-man show, “Through the InBetween,” features 26 paintings and wood sculptures

East Suburban Artists League coming to New Kensington gallery Dec. 1

Artwork by members of the East Suburban Artists League (ESAL) will be on display Dec. 1 to 29 in the art gallery at Penn State New Kensington. The annual multimedia show features more than 80 paintings, drawings, photographs, sculptures, intarsia, quilts and paper crafts, many of which are for sale at prices ranging from $50 to $1,200.

New Kensington art gallery to showcase Pittsburgh’s industrial past

From an ironworker assembling a structure drawn by an engineer, to an artist drawing a structure assembled by an ironworker, Vince Ornato paints images chronicling and celebrating Pittsburgh’s industrial past. Ornato’s oil paintings will be on exhibit Sept. 3-30 in the Penn State New Kensington Art Gallery. A reception for the artist will take place from 5-8 p.m. Sept. 15 in the gallery.
