COMETS Program

COMETS Program

Courses On Math, Engineering, Technology, and Science

The COMETS Program is a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) program.

COMETS supports and guides middle school girls as they develop impressions of their abilities in science, engineering, math, and technology. This program is a fun and exciting way for girls to discover the career pathways available to them in these fields where there can be fewer females.

The Program

The program has two components: mentoring, and hands-on experiential learning.

Students will choose a mentor (a female STEM professional) to guide and support them through an on-line career planning series. Hands-on workshops will be provided monthly by female STEM professionals in a variety of fields such as: medical, environmental, science, computer science, and engineering.
