Penn State World Campus students took part in a Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service project with Habitat for Humanity in San Diego, while others World Campus students are volunteering in Silver Spring, Maryland and joining other Penn Staters on the University Park and New Kensington campuses on Monday.
Mackinly “Mack” Adams hasn’t been in a real classroom since the fourth grade. The Arnold, Pennsylvania, native was diagnosed with a rare form of actinic prurigo, a disease that causes severe reactions to sunlight and ultraviolet (UV) light. Adams dreamed of having a real college experience, and Penn State New Kensington was able to make the goal a reality.

Students and faculty in the shared biobehavioral health (BBH) program at Penn State New Kensington and Penn State Greater Allegheny are now able to shorten the distance between campuses thanks to modern technology.
More than 200 incoming, new students participated at Penn State New Kensington's New Student Days Aug. 15 and 16. Students participated in scavenger hunts, held book discussions, heard from keynote speaker John Siciliano, went through academic convocation and competed in the annual PSNK Lion Pride Challenges!
On Aug. 6, 2018, the Penn State New Kensington Alumni Society held its annual golf outing. The event, which benefits student scholarships at the campus, was held at Totteridge Golf Course and Community in Greensburg, Pa. Over the past three years, the golf event has raised more than $75,000 for scholarships given directly to Penn State New Kensington students.
