Celebrating Arts and Culture

On Friday, June 16, Penn State New Kensington welcomes guests to the campus for the first Off the Wall pARTy, which celebrates the arts and culture. Highlights of the evening’s pARTy include live art demonstrations by regionally and nationally acclaimed artists, theatrical performances, live and silent auctions, tastings and spirits, music and merriment.

5 p.m. - Distinguished Alumni Awards
The event kicks off with our Distinguished Alumni Award presentation. We honor four Penn State New Kensington alumni:

Dr. Barbara J. Arnold ’82, ’85,’89
Dr. Gregory A. Garth ’70, ’72, ’81
Mr. Raymond P. Mastre ’04
Dr. Lisa C. Veitch ’83

Following the presentation, the pARTy moves into three main areas of the Administration Building
where live entertainment and delectable art for the palate welcomes each guest. 

6 p.m. - VIP EXPERIENCE
Meet the Artist: Baron Batch
Former Pittsburgh Steelers running back Baron Batch has won national acclaim for his large murals. Baron retired from the National Football League in 2013 to focus on his art and founded Studio A.M.

Live Music by Erin Burkett
A Pittsburgh native, jazz vocalist Erin Burkett has enthralled audiences through the northeastern United States for nearly three decades. Erin has produced two albums of original tunes.

 “Art” -- Written by Yasmina Reza, Directed by Jimmy Baker ’12
The Tony award-winning comedy raises questions about art and friendship.

All proceeds benefit Penn State New Kensington’s cultural arts program and student scholarships.
