The 10th Annual Penn State New Kensington Leader Launch conference will give you the chance to connect with Penn State alumni and other professionals in your field with opportunities and career advice just for you! Invest just one one day in your future and you will… Be inspired, make contacts and prepare for your own success!

Students & Alumni

The Leader Launch Conference is an excellent networking opportunity that benefits all PSNK students, whether still in school or recently graduated. All are encouraged to come and spend the day perfecting your leadership skills, networking with alumni and employers, and starting down the path to SUCCESS.

More about this year's Leader Launch:  

This half-day conference is for PSNK students and recent graduates to help you learn about careers and make connections for your future success! You will interact with Penn State alumni and professionals in your field in order to learn about career paths; internship and job opportunities with Pittsburgh-region employers; and how to stand out positively as a candidate. The day will conclude with a student-alumni-employer networking dinner in Pittsburgh, where you can enjoy making important connections with professionals and peers in your field.

  • Who: Any PSNK student interested in: finding good internships and jobs; making connections that could lead to career opportunities; and building career skills that employers value. Advice from current graduate school students is also presented. Open to all majors and semester levels! (first-year through graduation)  Graduates from 2022 also welcome!
  • When: Friday, March 24, 2023 (coach bus transportation provided; starts on campus with opening lunch at 11:15; bus leaves afterward at 12:15 p.m. and returns at 8:30 p.m.)
  • Where: The Penn State Center in Pittsburgh located in the Energy Innovation Center near the PPG Paints Arena. Networking Dinner will be at the North Shore Tavern across from PNC Park.
  • Why: Because this will help you prepare to begin your career, find internships and jobs, and make contacts that will benefit you in the future!
