2-Year Multidisciplinary Studies Collage

Multidisciplinary Studies

Overview

The objectives of the Multidisciplinary Studies major are to broaden the student's understanding, interests, and skills; to help the student become a more responsible, productive member of the family and community; and to offer a degree program with sufficient electives to permit some specialization according to the student's interests or career plans. It provides the skills needed for entry-level employment and the preparation you may need to pursue a baccalaureate degree in degree programs offered at Penn State. The associate degree credits are highly transferable into other Penn State programs. For example, many criminal justice majors earn an associate's degree in Multidisciplinary Studies on their way to a bachelor's degree in criminal justice.

Because Multidisciplinary Studies cuts across disciplines, you can study with faculty from almost any department on campus.
