First Year Honors Students
First year Honors students take English 30 (Honors Composition) in the fall and the designated Honors seminar in the spring. The topic of the Honors seminar changes each year.
In Spring 2022 the course was HIST 003 The American Nation: Historical Perspectives. The course examined the founding period of United States history along with the American Revolution and analyzed modern popular rhetorical portrayals and misconceptions about the founding of the country.
For Sophomore, Junior, and Senior Honors students the Honors Option is a mechanism to convert a regular course section into an Honors course. Check the Honors Option page for more information.
