Lyù Da Cortà Fumei was featured in multiple newspapers and magazines, including this 1959 Sunday magazine by the Pittsburgh Press. Fumei's paintings will be alongside the pen and ink sketches of her son, Guglielmo Botter, at the Penn State New Kensington Art Gallery in August 2018. Fumei was an accomplished painter in Italy and the Pittsburgh region. The family shares a storied, artistic heritage.
