Orientation

Welcome to Penn State!

All new students to Penn State must participate in orientation events before their first semester at the University.

During orientation programming, you will meet with faculty and staff, begin to develop goals for your time at Penn State, learn about campus resources, schedule courses for your first semester, and take part in New Student Days (NSD).

First-Year Student Orientation

Incoming, first-year students for a fall semester to Penn State New Kensington go through a three-step, in-person process starting with New Student Orientation (NSO) advising and scheduling, followed by two campus New Student Days (NSD) held the week before classes begin.
