This year at Penn State New Kensington’s Multicultural Luncheon, students, faculty and staff had a chance to learn about "All In at Penn State: A Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion" and the Oct. 6 kick-off event for the ongoing initiative. The luncheon, held on Sept. 29, is an annual event sponsored by the campus’ Office of Student Affairs.
As the general election approaches, the Penn State New Kensington student organization My Vote Matters is mobilizing the college youth and community vote by sponsoring an evening social featuring local politicians at 6 p.m. Oct. 4 in the campus’ Café 780.
As a student leader, Jon McCabe, a psychology major from Lower Burrell, Pennsylvania, personifies the need to continue to build supportive, welcoming learning environments that make all New Kensington students, faculty and staff feel a part of Penn State.
