James Matus, a third-year electro-mechanical engineering student at Penn State New Kensington, is the 2022-23 Frederick J. Berger award and scholarship recipient.
Jacob Hetu, Penn State New Kensington biomedical engineering technology alumnus, currently serves as a supervisor of Biomedical Engineering for Excela Health.
The award will fund the development of an interactive game that will allow participants to virtually interact with butterflies in a conservatory to determine their attitudes towards wildlife and their decisions to support saving an endangered species.
