More than 4 million manufacturing jobs will need to be filled by 2030, according to a report by the Manufacturing Institute and Deloitte. Half of those jobs could be left unfilled due to an industry skills gap. Penn State New Kensington and its Digital Foundry at New Kensington hope to help overcome the challenge with a new entry-level manufacturing certificate program.

First-year Penn State New Kensington student-athlete Austin Arnold received honorable mention selection by the United States Collegiate Athletics Association (USCAA) after ranking in the top ten in the USCAA in both goals and total points.

Penn State New Kensington senior Brady Braun earned United States Collegiate Athletics Association (USCAA) second-team all-American status for the second time in his career. In addition to many other accolades, Braun was also selected to the Penn State University Athletics Conference (PSUAC) All-Decade Team, solidifying him as one of the best men's soccer players in the conference over the last ten years.

Jacob Guerrini, a first-year student at Penn State New Kensington, was named a first team all-American by the United States Collegiate Athletics Association (USCAA) after having a program-best 21 goals and seven assists during the fall 2021 season. He became the New Kensington program’s first player to earn first-team all-American status.

NK Soccer Team National Send Off Cheering

The 2021 Penn State New Kensington men's soccer team made their way to Virginia Beach, Va. for the program's first United States Collegiate Athletics Association (USCAA) national tournament on Nov. 11. Campus faculty, staff and friends organized an early-morning send-off celebration, complete with cheering, music and speeches.

Penn State President Eric J. Barron welcomed graduates, families and friends to the livestream of Spring 2020 Commencement ceremony on the afternoon of May 9, 2020.
