Patrick Coulson, far left, director of Westmoreland County Community College’s (WCCC) New Kensington Center and volunteer coordinator of the New Kensington Community Garden, was joined by seven Penn State New Kensington staff, alumni and advisory board members to prepare the garden for its upcoming season. Christy and six other campus staff, alumni and board members volunteered at the garden to help prepare it for the upcoming growing season. The garden, which began in 2012, sits along the campus-led Corridor of Innovation, a five-block stretch of Fifth Avenue in downtown New Kensington.

Backed by the resources of Invent Penn State’s statewide network of innovation hubs, Penn State New Kensington is partnering with Westmoreland County and the city of New Kensington to revive the community through research, education and entrepreneurship.
The Teaching and Learning with Technology Research Carnival will be held on June 19, 2019 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. at The Dreamery, on the ground floor of the Shields Building.
