The conference technology playground is a great way for educators to connect with technologists from across the SWPA region and enjoy hands-on exploration of the technologies, ideas, and future aspirations they can bring to students and programs. A ‘playground’ typically intends for attendees to engage in hands-on activities, interactive and exploratory learning experiences. The playground is designed to foster experimentation, innovation, and collaborative learning.
The technologists in the playground represent businesses who have established technology showcase opportunities to demonstrate their initiatives and provide exposure to students from K1-16. These regional experts represent some of the best-case scenarios for student exposure, growth, preparation and networking within our SWPA high-tech corridors. In some booths, the technologists will expose attendees to new technology concepts, technology ideation, or technology entrepreneurship activities as well.
The goal of a playground is to provide a more experiential and immersive learning opportunity, encouraging participants to actively participate, ask questions, and gain practical knowledge that they can apply in their professional settings. These experiences will hopefully stimulate creativity, spark conversation, and facilitate networking among attendees in a dynamic and interactive environment.
This is a great opportunity for educators to actually place hands upon some of the technology that the future-fit workforce will need to understand and potentially interface with in their future job roles within SWPA. You can participate, practice, and possibly walk away with some great swag!
