No classes scheduled for Thanksgiving week; campus open three days

NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. — No classes are scheduled at Penn State New Kensington from Monday through Saturday, Nov. 21 to 26, during the Thanksgiving break.

The campus will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Wednesday, Nov. 21 to 23; campus will be closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 26 and 27. Classes will resume Monday, Nov. 28.

The art gallery, featuring Bud Gibbons’ “Artist’s Picks” exhibit, will be open all week except for Thanksgiving day. Gallery hours are Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m. For more about the November display, visit Paintings by Bud Gibbons.

The fall semester ends Dec. 9, and final exams run from Dec. 12 to 16. Commencement is set for 10 a.m. Dec. 17 in the Forum Theatre. The spring 2017 semester begins Jan. 9. Spring break is March 5-11, and finals end on May 5. Spring commencement is May 6.
