East Suburban Artists League brings works to Art Gallery in Dec.

Multimedia exhibit runs to Dec. 30 at Penn State New Kensington

NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. – Members of the East Suburban Artists League (ESAL) will bring their multimedia works to Penn State New Kensington’s Art Gallery throughout the month of December.

The annual show features a variety of paintings, drawings, photographs and other mediums and runs from Dec. 3 to 30.

ESAL was formed in 1965 to serve artists in the suburban areas east of Pittsburgh throughout communities in Allegheny and Westmoreland counties. The nonprofit organization aims to foster arts and crafts, as well as provide inspiration, education and encouragement to artists and patrons in the region.

In addition to the exhibit, members of the campus and local communities are invited to an Artist Reception at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, in the Art Gallery.

The New Kensington campus community, as well as the public, is invited to view the exhibit in the Art Gallery from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays and noon to 5 p.m. weekends. Due to the upcoming holidays, the gallery will be closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

Penn State New Kensington’s gallery features monthly multimedia works of local, regional, national and international artists. All exhibits are free to the public.
