More than 50 Penn State students from five campuses took their day off from classes to make it a "day on" for the annual MLK Jr. Day of Service on Jan. 21. The 2019 Penn State New Kensington-hosted event featured volunteerism at six organizations in the Alle-Kiski Valley. In addition to New Kensington, participating campuses included Beaver, Fayette, Greater Allegheny and World Campus.

World Campus students are joining other Penn State students to take part in service projects on the University Park and New Kensington campuses on Monday, and are also volunteering at a Habitat for Humanity ReStores in San Diego and Silver Spring, Maryland.
Penn State World Campus students took part in a Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service project with Habitat for Humanity in San Diego, while others World Campus students are volunteering in Silver Spring, Maryland and joining other Penn Staters on the University Park and New Kensington campuses on Monday.
