New Kensington's Broadwater named a USCAA second team All-American

Penn State New Kensington's Dorian Broadwater was named to the United States Collegiate Athletic Association All-American second team, the organization announced recently. Broadwater is New Kensington's first men's basketball player to be honored as an All-American since Jeremy Hurt in 2007.

Dorian Broadwater, senior guard for Penn State New Kensington's men's basketball team, has been named to the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) All-American Second Team.

Almost 100 Penn State students from the New Kensington, Beaver and Fayette campuses attended at Pittsburgh Penguins hockey game at the PPG Pains Arena in Pittsburgh on Feb. 27, 2018.  The activity was part of Penn State New Kensington's Penn State in Pittsburgh activity series which gives students the opportunity to enjoy cultural, educational and sporting events in the city throughout the school year.

Penn State New Kensington students, faculty and staff had the chance to view Andrew Belser's "FaceAge" exhibit Feb. 21, 2018.  Belser, the 2017-2018 Penn State Laureate, showed the exhibit in the campus' Forum Theatre.  The multimedia exhibit showcases intergenerational conversations about aging.

New Kensington Dancers at THON 2018

Penn State New Kensington's THON dancers, Gina Batiz and Nick Roth, celebrate their completion of THON 2018 after not sitting or sleeping for the 46-hour dance marathon.  Batiz and Roth joined 700+ other dancers at the Bryce Jordan Center during THON weekend Feb. 16-18, 2018.  Funds raised through THON benefit the fight against pediatric cancer.  Learn more about the largest student-run philanthropy in the world at www.thon.org.
