Almost 200 guests joined to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the local community at the annual Celebration of Unity Dinner at Penn State New Kensington. The event, co-sponsored by Hightower Scholars, Inc., also commemorated it's 10th anniversary with the lighting of a unity candle, guest speakers, dinner, a dance performance and readings by essay contest winners from Mary Queen of Apostles school.

A student from Mary Queen of Apostles school in New Kensington looks at essays and drawings by third and fourth graders at the school during the annual Celebration of Unity Dinner at Penn State New Kensington. The essays and drawings were part of an essay contest in conjunction with the dinner.
