Penn State New Kensington faculty, staff and students visited FedEx Ground's North Pittsburgh Ground Station in Zelienople, Pa. on March 27. The visit to the fully automated station included a keynote presentation with Henry Maier, president and CEO of FedEx Ground, and station leadership, as well as a tour of the 305,000 square foot facility. Rhonda Schuldt, innovation coordinator at the campus' innovation hub, The Corner, organized the visit to coincide with the campus' efforts in educating students about Industry 4.0, the term used for the next industrial revolution, and the skill sets needed for future success.
