Candee Christy, administrative support assistant in the Chancellor's Office at Penn State New Kensington, shovels mulch at the New Kensington Community Garden. Christy and six other campus staff, alumni and board members volunteered at the garden to help prepare it for the upcoming growing season. The garden, which began in 2012, sits along the campus-led Corridor of Innovation, a five-block stretch of Fifth Avenue in downtown New Kensington.
