All new, first-year students to Penn State must participate in New Student Orientation (NSO) and extended orientation programs. NSO and all extended orientation programs are mandatory for all new students.
Extended orientation programs are student-only events (parents and families, please join us for New Student Orientation instead).

Welcome Days (Connect with Your Peers)
Join the Penn State New Kensington Orientation Team and your fellow students for two (2) informative, engaging days that will help set you up for success at Penn State New Kensington. Come prepared to learn about the campus and help ease your transition to campus and college life. This event includes program sessions such as:
- Academic Convocation
- Academic Program Meetings
- Campus Tours
- Community Service
- Getting Engaged at PSNK
- Icebreakers & Team-Building Activities
- Summer Reading Program Discussion
- Student Rights & Responsibilities
You will register for Welcome Days when you register for New Student Orientation.
