The donations were part of the campus' "Nittany Neighbors" initiative to aid and check on students still residing in the nearby housing complex during the current pandemic. The Nittany Neighbors program created at Penn State New Kensington in response to the coronavirus pandemic is testament to the fact that, as campus director of student affairs Theresa Bonk said, "we are a family, and like any family, we take care of our own."
