Arnold Palmer’s Latrobe Country Club and Penn State New Kensington scholarships are grounds for teeing it up Aug. 7 for the 18th annual Alumni Golf Outing in Latrobe. Golfers will play the same immaculate fairways (or dense rough) and undulating greens that Arnold Palmer played while growing up in Latrobe. Proceeds benefit the Penn State New Kensington Alumni Society’s campus scholarship.
If the weather cooperates, Penn State New Kensington’s returns to the field for the first time since spring break in Florida for its home opener at 2 p.m. Friday, March 24, at Alcoa Field in Upper Burrell.
After an acceptance offer from Penn State New Kensington, applicants, along with their families, receive an invitation to a special reception with Chancellor Kevin Snider.
