Marissa Welsh

Marissa joined the Penn State New Kensington campus in November 2021. She is currently serving as the Learning Center Coordinator as of September 2022. Prior to her current role, she served Assistant Director of Student Affairs.  Marissa earned her Bachelor of Science in Safety Management with a minor in Public Health from Slippery Rock University. It was in college that Marissa found her passion for working with college students. Her college experience is what inspired her to pursue her Master of Arts in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Slippery Rock University. During graduate school, Marissa worked as a Graduate Resident Director. Upon graduation, Marissa worked in Student Support at CCAC before joining the Penn State team.

A fun fact about Marissa is that she’s never had a Big Mac, and at this point, it seems like a personal challenge to keep that trend going. In her free time, Marissa enjoys going to concerts, trying new recipes for cooking and baking, traveling, hiking, and kayaking with her husband, family, and friends.
