Education Vanguard Conference 2023

In October 2023, educators, academics and industry leaders from across the Southwestern Pennsylvania region came together for the first "Education Vanguard: Building the Education of the Future Together" conference, led and organized by Penn State New Kensington. The event featured presentations by leading technologists, innovators and faculty experts discussing the latest in technology and the expected impact on workplace, workforce and academia. The conference is just one part of Penn State New Kensington's regional Future Readiness initiatives for Southwestern PA higher education faculty members. $1.1M NSF grant to fund statewide cyberinfrastructure project

Researchers at the Penn State Institute for Computational and Data Sciences, together with collaborators at other institutions within Pennsylvania, have been awarded approximately $1.1 million in funding under the U.S. National Science Foundation Campus Cyberinfrastructure program to develop a commonwealth-wide secure network and related cyberinfrastructure to interconnect Pennsylvania colleges and universities.
