NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. — Penn State New Kensington senior Pascal Bikanura was named the Penn State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) Player of the Week, while sophomore Joshua Zakrzewski earned PSUAC Goalie of the Week honors.
Bikanura totaled three goals and two assists in a 1-0-1 week. The senior from Brashear High School scored two goals and added an assist in Penn State New Kensington's 3-3 tie against Penn State York. He followed up with one goal and one assist against non-conference Westmoreland County Community College.
Zakrzewski, from Ringold High School, had an outstanding week in goal for Penn State New Kensington, recording 16 saves. He made nine saves against Penn State York and returned the next day to make seven saves against WCCC while not allowing any goals.
