2020-21 Penn State Laureate David Witwer previews his laureate presentation

David Witwer, professor of American studies in Penn State Harrisburg’s School of Humanities and Penn State Laureate for the 2020-21 academic year previews his lectures, which will draw on his research on corruption, organized crime, and labor racketeering. Presentations will focus on his current book project, “Searching for Jimmy Hoffa,” which traces the history of what is known about International Brotherhood of Teamsters president James R. Hoffa’s disappearance, his involvement with organized crime, and what his career reveals about working-class attitudes towards corruption.

The 2020-21 Laureate will present research and work for his current book project related to former International Brotherhood of Teamsters president James R. Hoffa’s disappearance. The virtual discussion, scheduled for 12:10 p.m. on Sept. 25, is free and open to the public.

9/22: COVID-19 dashboard updated with preliminary results from weekend testing

Penn State has updated its public COVID-19 dashboard with the University's on-demand testing and random testing results from tests administered during the period of Sept. 18 to 20, as well as new University testing results from the prior week. These numbers are evolving as many test results are still pending, which will then be validated and uploaded.

PSUAC postpones the start of basketball to spring semester 2021

Penn State Commonwealth Campuses Beaver, Brandywine, DuBois, Fayette, Greater Allegheny, Hazleton, Lehigh Valley, Mont Alto, New Kensington, Scranton, Schuylkill, Shenango, Wilkes-Barre and York will follow national movement among small conferences and push basketball competition to the spring semester due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.
