Pittsburgh-based speed-painter George Williams stands next to his completed Penn State painting at the 2019 Off the Wall pARTy at Penn State New Kensington. During the "Art Madness" portion of the event, Williams painted the piece, along with two Pittsburgh-themed paintings, in a matter of minutes. The paintings were then auctioned off during the live Art Auction.

NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. — Penn State New Kensington invites a call for artists to participate in an art submission for consideration for auction at the fourth annual "Off the Wall pARTy" scheduled for June 12.

The pARTy aims to celebrate arts and culture with a unique evening consisting of art, live and silent auctions, food tastings, drinks, music and more. Proceeds from the event benefits cultural art initiatives and programs at the campus.

Last year's event was a success and featured artist Rodney Allen Trice, professor of practice in graphic design at the Stuckeman School in Penn State’s College of Arts and Architecture, live music performances, art demonstrations, and pop-up art galleries in addition to the auctions, food offerings and other interactive guest activities.

Artists who are selected to donate work will receive two tickets to the 2020 event, as well as special promotion and recognition at the auction, along with an opportunity for a future solo exhibition in the campus Art Gallery.

Submissions are free and will be accepted until May 1 via an online submission form or by emailing Tina Booth at [email protected]. Full details about this year's call for artwork can be found on the online information webpage.
