New Kensington’s enrollment trending upward

For the first time in six years, Penn State New Kensington’s overall enrollment saw an increase, according to the annual snapshot count taken at the end of the sixth week of fall semester classes. The campus’ fall 2016 semester enrollment stands at 686, an increase of 30 students from last year.

Penn State announces fall 2016 commencement events and speakers

This fall approximately 5,247 Penn State students will receive their diplomas. University-wide there will be 252 associate, 3,936 baccalaureate, 762 master's, 11 law and 286 doctoral degrees awarded. Applications being accepted for Noyce Scholarship

Applications for the Penn State Secondary Mathematics Noyce Scholarship Program must be submitted by Jan. 18, 2017. The competitive renewable scholarships will provide $19,000 per year for eligible students’ last two years of college.

Elite softball recruit commits to New Kensington campus

Opening day for Penn State New Kensington’s softball campaign is more than three months away, but the recruiting season is in full swing as head coach Mike Marsili landed his top recruit for the 2018 season. Scarlett Stein, a senior pitcher at Jeanette High School, has committed to attend the New Kensington campus.
