New Kensington soccer to face Brandywine in PSUAC Final Four

Sophomore midfielder Cole Wilson scored two goals as No. 5 seed Penn State New Kensington defeated No. 4 seed Penn State Greater Allegheny 4-2 on Oct. 29 in the first round of the Penn State University Athletic Conference in McKeesport. The New Kensington Lions will not have much time to savor the match, as the Final Four opens at 1 p.m. today (Oct. 31) at University Park.

Curtain to rise Nov. 4 on campus production of ‘Footloose: The Musical'

After rehearsing for two months, cast members have nailed their lines, cultivated a stage presence and perfected the timing for the opening of Penn State New Kensington’s fall stage production of "Footloose: The Musical." The play begins a three-day run at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, in the Forum Theatre. Following the first night is an evening performance at 7 p.m. on Saturday and a matinee at 1 p.m. on Sunday.

Penn State New Kensington partners with WCIDC on entrepreneurial center

The Westmoreland County Industrial Development Corporation's (WCIDC) board of directors — Gina Cerilli, Ted Kopas, and Charles Anderson — approved on Oct. 21 an agreement of sale between the WCIDC and Swank Young Developers for the purchase of a building and property in New Kensington that will house Penn State New Kensington’s new entrepreneurial center.
